Fear engulfed the busy Kuniamuthur area around noon on Saturday when four buses parked inside a vehicle body building workshop completely destroyed in fire.
Thick smoke emanated from the workshop located inside the busy residential area close to Palakkad Main Road made people panicky. Traffic on the highway was disrupted for more than an hour as people stopped their vehicles in the middle of the road and rush to the spot.

There was no casualty as all the 15 workers at the unit were moved out immediately after the fire started. Fire fighters took more than one and half hour to douse the fire but could not save the buses from fire. One bus was partially burnt while four buses gutted fully.
