Most of the fruits exported are lost during transportation as they become rotten. To avoid this and to increase more export of fruits, the University has come up with a nano-film in which a chemical hexanal (found by Canadian university) will be packed and the same technology will be used to increase the shelf-life of fruits.India , being second largest producer of fruits in the world will be highly benefited with this technology which is also environment friendly.
